I just did mine last summer. It took about a week (2 or 3 hrs every other day) to do the forks shock ends, piece in the middle of the forks and the mounts for the front turn signals. I used a very fine steel wool and then followed up with mothers aluminum and mag wheel cleaner, cost about $4.00 at any Wal-Mart. Took more elbow grease than money but well worth it.
